R.I.P. my friend, I'm gonna miss him. Jon was on a few trucker boards, some as a moderator.

Very sorry to hear of this tragic event. He was 1 year older than I am now. All my best to his immediate family, and his professional family.

My condolences to the Schmidt Family. The life of a trucker, stress in the cab, stress out of the cab. Let's all learn from Highwayman, manage our stress, manage our health, manage our life the best we can. Our lives as truckers who share touch so many. Jon's spirit is in all of us who post here and out there on the asphalt. To young to pass on, but he surely left his mark and will continue. Please allow the Highwayman posts to remain as a tribute to him and his family. Maybe one of the other moderators or a family member would be willing to continue his efforts.
Take good care Schmidt Family and God Bless,
murph
ps.Let's be safe out there and always keep room in our truck for the Highwayman!
