Rev, whether you like him or not, he is one of a handful of people who forged the trucking industry into what it is today. Most have already sold off their companies or passed away. He built an empire, in just over 40 years, that will likely outlive him for many years to come. 8)

Sounds like he was truly an "old school" kind of guy. One that the "Rev." will never understand.

Rev,

I dont like to get wrapped up in things people say. However, didnt your mother teach you manners. I mean really.

You need to see a counselor or something. Did you know the man personally in order to make such a biased opinion?

Probably not. So sometimes the best things said are nothing at all. So when you pass away cause you were a pioneer on the classadrivers website I am sure someone else will probably say the same thing.

Grow up. I mean really.

Would you all have rather I actually SAID what my opinion of the man is? Is it classless to reserve making a comment about him? Perhaps I should actually say what I was thinking - I am sure you would all love that.

And specifically to yoopr: I don't care for your personal THREATS via PM regarding this topic. This subject has nothing to do with people serving in the military that may have died.

As we begin The Holy Days, I would hope that all of us might find enough compassion in our hearts to offer up our prayers and intentions to the Hunt Family.

There are already a number of threads regarding The Company, J.B. Hunt. May we please reserve this thread for J.B. Hunt, the man?? Like each and every one of us, he had his strengths and weaknesses, his accomplishments and his failings, his victories and his losses.

I have to believe that at least one of those $100.00 bills that he handed to someone in need was put to a good and proper use, and that someone out there gives thanks to The Lord for bringing J.B. Hunt into his or her life.

Death is an equal opportunity employer; it will come to all of us, and it might be a good idea for us to take pause, and consider how we as individuals will be judged when our time comes.

R.I.P., J.B., with Prayers and Blessings to Your Family, and to those who knew and loved you!!

Peace,
Useless

Not a threat at all little one.
You are truly classless with your Little Innuendo and no matter what you think of the company he deserves respect.
Personally most of us could care less what you have to say.

I disagree, as "Perhaps I can cure you of that little smart ass part of you, "and "The old Highway Truck stop isn't very far from me." are certainly threats.

Why? What did he do that makes him deserve respect?

rev it really doesnt matter hes dead.
no matter how bad the company is;
theres always the fact that he grew the company from small to one of the largest in the nation.
i just wish i had the millions he died with but as the saying goes you cant take it with you.
Even if this was done in a rate cutting fassion on the backs of drivers and office personel alike and giving outragous bonuses to exucutives.
but you still have to respect a guy growing it to one of largest outfits in the world.
or maybe you dont.
