Default Question for Wot

Ok, I have a really strange question, and Wot is the only one I know thats in the UK.
My sister and I have a friend online who lives in Sheffield. For reasons beyond her control (she is disabled) her house has become in disarray bad enough that her landlord refuses to replace the furnace (won't work) until is has been cleaned.
We (a bunch of her online friends) are looking into hiring somebody to clean for her, as she cannot afford it. Would you have any ideas of cleaning companies, etc, in that region? I'm not sure what part of the UK you are in...or..if anybody else knows of any other ideas/suggestions feel free to chime in.

right! stop there! your friends landlord is liable under British law to have the boiler(furnace?) serviced and cleaned. If he/she refuses, take the matter up with the Citizens Advice. Landlords must comply and get a service engineer out who has relevant qualifications, regardless of the state of the premises...
Let me know the outcome or P.M me if you need any help.
