As you may or may not know, my life has drastically
changed recently with the temporary loss of my licence. Today, seeking inspiration, I went to visit the grave of Robert the Bruce; Scotlands famous leader who defeated the mighty English army at the battle of Bannockburn in 1314. There is also a tale associated with Bruce of his watching a spider try and repeatedly fail to build a web inside a cave;Eventually by sheer determination and doggedness the spider succeeded. Bruce took the plight of the spider as inspiration and vowed to defeat the numerically superior English, which he did. However, when I went to Dunfermline Abbey where Bruce is buried, I Found no inspiration whatsoever! Until I left, and watched this guy His talent is immense Yet people walk past in ignorance Undeterred, he carries on Confident in his ability, enjoying life to the full Regardless of his circumstances I gave him my last pound Applauded his performance We acknowledged each other in the midst of ignorance I feel humbled and refreshed

I loved the movie "Braveheart" and the scene of William Wallace and his men mooning Edward the Longshanks.
C'mon Lassie...We'v git uh Skor ta settel  My inspiration comes through best with art, music, or nature. I love playing my guitar, or taking long walks. Inspiration can be a powerful thing. It can keep you going when you just feel like quitting. It is even more powerful than motivation, as motivation gives you your basic reasons to keep going--it tells you why you want to do what you do, because motivation is based on goals. Your goals may be based on neccesity want or desire. But inspiration fills those reasons with hope, possibility and enjoyment. Words to remember.... Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Let yourself invision your future. This will allow yourself to turn your motivation into inspiration. But keep your perspective narrowed. You know yourself. You know what you like and what you are good at. So, don't try to look at too many things like Wots lesson today...you'll know your inspiration, when you see it. I feel depressed most every day, but my Parents taught me, you must think positive. Make it a daily habit...and may God Bless you. |
