 seriously, i have been trying to put this whole "golf" package together for them since May. I want it to be "extra" special as my Dad is VERY hard to surprise. My Mom kinda knows what I'm planning, because I do need her help to hide it from him. This man is the nicest person you could meet. he would give the shirt off his back for anyone. And he never wants to "spend" money on himself. For my Mom, yes, but not for himself. A very unselfish man. Thanx for any input.

Yoopr-always has some quick, to the point answers, and things to say. Usually very funny
Wot-has a very interesting "way" about him. has given me some insight to the other side of the Atlantic. Very funny, indeed.
Consider-a very interesting view of everything. Most of the time, refreshing. Sometimes even funny.
roadhog-not much to say, except he keeps me in stitches.
GMAN-very knowledgeable and experienced. Also can be funny, when necessary. gets me to read some threads that I otherwise wouldn't. i.e.- ANY O/O thread-due to my desire to never be one, yet I enjoy reading his posts.(there are others, he just sticks out the most)
Rev-what can I say, for some reason or another, I like to see what he has to say about things. He is also funny at times.
AFF-another amusing read. very colorful, both figuratively and literally.

As I said, there are others and I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I truly enjoy so many of the posters here. And to everyone I say THANX!!

And I would like to thank the Academy for making this possible.

The REV made your FIRST list!
Honestly, I felt bad for not doing a longer list, as I had been sitting in the booth at the Hook for nearly two hours, and my computer was running out of juice.

I'll have some info for you soon on the golf outing. (Even tho I suspect you only asked out of a desire not to hurt my fragile little feelings.)
I appreciate it!

I started to offer you a loaded 45 as soon as I read your first post! Or maybe just a bigger SHOVEL!
Right now, either would suffice!

Okay, friend:

Start HERE:

http://www.visitgrandrapids.com/vaca...olf/index.html

Years ago, when I first got on the internet, I was taking Golf Digest and read an article about these 4 courses that had made their "Top 100 Courses in the Country." That led me to a forum in Grand Rapids (Minnesota NOT Michigan) where I have been posting ever since.

The "idea" was, that I would go ANYWHERE to play some good golf, so I chose the login "Golfhobo."

The rest is history. I haven't made it up there yet to play, but when I do, I'll have lots of friends to meet.

These are the ONLY courses in MN that made the "list." And they are ALL located right around this small, but interesting, town.

Grand Rapids is about 2 hours or less from Minneapolis, straight up highway 169. I suggest LATE spring, to avoid the snow. But, I highly recommend THIS experience over any other golf outing in MN.

If I were you, I'd make reservations for the Sugarbrooke Lodge (fireplaces) and leave the MALL in time to get there the evening before the first day of golfing. Get OUT of the city early and see this area of the state.

Okay.... now you OWE me!

10-4 thanx! My Dad will love it I'm sure! He's an avid golfer like you. I have been searching the net since May (unlike some of these other posters who ask before they search) and I don't remember seeing that site. Thanx again.

Interesting. I was thinkin' the same about all of you a while back, but of course, too chicken to mention it. Good posts here. Whenever I have a rough day (which has been A LOT lately) I come here to see all of my 'friends' to cheer me up! It is strange how you can come to 'know' folks you've never even met. Keep the laughs comin'. Meow!

Wot: Have you noticed that the flower in your new avatar has a bald, sloped forehead, pug nose, lips and a double chin? Kinda like YOU!

Man... THAT's not right! Hee Hee!

Besides, I should've posted this on your 1000th post thread!
