Yeah,the weatherband knob on the Cobras has channel numbers 0-7. 0 is off,and of course,1-7 are the different channels. I didnt know it either at first,until I decided to read the owners manual.

When mine went off, my wife was with me, she hit the roof it scared her so bad. I didn't even flinch because I was so focused on driving thru the torrential downpour of a severe thunderstorm.
