I use Shareaza. You can go to www.download.com and search for programs.

I like napster, they seem to have a good selection of music and I can download and burn CD's and put it into my MP3 player for .99/song. I only pay the .99 once per song and then it is downloaded into my computer forever.

I've always been a big fan of WinMX. It was shutdown by the RIAA about a year ago, but has been resurrected by someone else. It works quite well for me.
I've used Limewire, but for hard to get old stuff, WinMX is the way to go.

I like the iTunes programing for my music Library, and for making my playlists as well as using my iPod. iTunes gives out one or two free songs each week. I collect them, and so far that has accounted for about a couple hundred free songs. I've entered all my personal CD's, and maybe spent a $100 on new songs at their .99cent issue. I'm fine with that, as I am very selective at times to wanting certain songs...mainly for my own practice use. I can also use the system for storing my music that I convert to MP3 and guitar backtrack songs. I also use the iTunes to store my language programs, and audio books.
Right now my song Library is close to 1300 songs. I like lots of different kinds of music, but when it comes to actually buying a song...I'm very selective. It has to have my wanting to play it myself interest, or be an artist I like so much...I need to have every song they made....like Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC...and a few others.
I also have LimeWire, but use that for downloading guitar songbooks....in GuitarPro format. Now...here is where I have over 24,000 songs in sheetmusic form in GuitarPro format.
For music..especially albums, or artist sets...I go to eBay and look for good deals. I usually end up with less than .50 cents/song this way.

www.limewire.com
Its FREE fast and clean! Video, Music, Programs ETC
I used to use Imesh but Limewire turned out to be better!
I love it, and everyone I know uses it!
