I am listening to a cd of patriotic songs by Lee Greenwood. He did a slow, maudlin turn on Dixie and I think it is great. There is one original song he did on their called the Defenders. It is a salute to our armed forces, it is the corniest thing ever but I can't help loving it. I was very displeased with his version of Battle Hymn of the Republic becuase he changed the lyrics.
