I can play a bit. I have 2 guitars. And you don't have to read music. Go google up "guitar tabs" and there is a million pages of tablature sites. Tabs are alot easier to read than music. It has 6 lines, representing the strings, there is a number on the "string" telling you what fret to push down. Its really easy. Check it out.

The black and white one is a Harmony G-60, and the blue one is a Peavy EXP. I don't mess with that one anymore though. I use the blue one. Its a Peavy EXP. Its really nice. Sounds alot better too. Is yours a Fender or what brand?

Its a fender , i had mentioned to my wife a few times in the last 14 years that i always wanted to learn the guitar and i teard up when i opened it. ( think it had a lil to do with turning 30 ) LOL i don't know the difference as far as quality but I'm sure their is i was just so touched that she would go out and get me one I will use this one to get some of the basics down then will look into something better I'm sure

Fenders are expensive. You won't have to look into anything better. I promise. If you take care of it, you will have it for the rest of your life. Stevie Ray Vaughn had a single Fender for 18 years. Never boke and still played perfectly. You have a bar of gold in your hands. You won't find much better than fender. Gibson and a few others are the only thing better than fenders. Just my opinion.
