I can tell you this.......

I got sick of hearing chopped up trucker songs(re; C. W. McCall: Convoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6LPVMomEIg&feature ) on the radio yesterday...even sicker from hearing the idiots some of the stations I listened to put on the air "to explain" the problem.

The common theme...truck's driving in circles around Atlanta....and else where....burning expensive fuel...while radio jockey's poked fun at them...and motorists didn't understand.

I took back roads just so I could avoid them...also because they were the paid miles on the load.

No mention on any of the news outlets today...  Go back to your fantasyland at the twuckers report.... And why is it that all the other trucking sites think this "shutdown" is a joke with the exception of the fantasyland site, twuckers report. Must be the only site where unprofitable and clueless BBR's go.....

Where is this strike that everyone keeps talking about? I saw nothing abnormal yesterday on my way to and back from the DC area. CB was just as childish as usual but nobody mention anything about a strike. Even when I went past the T/A and Petro in Breezewood, nobody was on the CB yelling about a strike. It was business as usaual.

Man, it is getting harder to find those cheap loads. Everyone wants to pay over $2/mile. I suppose that I could refuse to haul it unless they lowered the rate to $1/mile. I could do a 2 for 1 sale and haul one for $2/mile and the second for free.
