I own a 2000 Pete with a 3126B engine. About every 1200 miles I have to add a gallon of oil due to bad injector o-rings. Does anyone know the app. cost to get this done? It's been like this since I bought it 2 years ago and I've put about 125000 miles on it. How long can I go on driving it like this without causing something else to break?

there are far too many variables to predict a failure date =(

but, let us know when you find out!! operating the engine like this is the equivalent of oil passing the piston rings, I suppose.

you're probably looking at 4 - 6 hours labour, plus o-ring kits; your local cat service desk could likely quote the job right over the phone.

Keep going and you are wasting oil, fuel, power. Go into a shop and get the gaskets and coppers changed, you will be amazed !!

I just went through this with a 2136B. I think it was $800 for a local shop to do the job.
