I predict there will be a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti on Tuesday, Jan 12th.

(Man... I wish I'd posted this last night instead of chatting with Twilight!)

On a serious note, My Dad is scheduled to go there next Wednesday on a mission trip. I am extremely worried now about aftershocks.

Today Wednesday? or next Wednesday, not that a week in this area will make much difference.
I can fully appreciate your concerns. Hopefully he is not going anywhere near the epicenter.
They really need to reschedule this trip for another time.
He'd be going into a major disaster zone, one for which unless he is trained and equiped, he should not be there.
Not to say there isn't a great need he could provide, but this is a very dangerous environment right now.

I predict in 2010, we will have a hot summer. Maybe even a drought, here in north west Texas. Ya know... global warming.

I predict that King Jerry Moyes will buy out all the trucking companies in the USA and then shut the country down by stopping all interstate commerce until his demands are met.

1. Be dictator of the USA.
2. All US citizens and illegal will be required to participate in his lease/purchase plan to live here.
3. Health insurance will be available and required thru his privately funded insurance company.
4. The naions capitol will be relocated to Phoenix,AZ.
5. He then will purchase Mexico making it the 51st and largest state.

Actually this last summer wasn't too bad. We got some rain in the early summer, and that helped. We had triple digits in August, and normally, triple digits start in June.

So I guess those who were fired or let go from any one of his companies will be branded "enemies of the state" ?

Sweet.

It was to be NEXT Wednesday. Here you go, Hoggie. Info about the trip from our local paper. My dad was/is to be one of the 9 mentioned from this area. They were going to be joined by some from Mississippi and some Haitians from Maryland.

They are still planning to go as soon as they make contact and see that flights are allowed in. This kind of "missionary" disaster relief doesn't necessarily take any special training... but, he has done it before.

They were originally going to spend the bulk of their time in a small village way out near the western tip of that peninsula south of the "port." Now, they will stay and help in the main disaster area, as the road will be unpassable to Depas.
