Driver Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary

            Maverick Transportation recently honored professional driver Jimmy Fitzgerald of Sharon TN for 20 years of quality service. Over the course of his tenure he has received multiple awards from the Arkansas based carrier including two Driver of the Month honors a Million Mile Safe Driving Award and a 15 Year Safe Driving Award.

Fitzgerald started driving with Maverick on August 29 1988 when the carrier had just 44 company drivers. The privately owned company has grown considerably since then and is now recognized as a leader in the transportation industry. This has a great deal to do with quality drivers like Jimmy who define the “Maverick Way.”

“Jimmy personifies what it means to be a professional driver at Maverick” said Stephen Selig President of Maverick. “He is extremely disciplined well groomed and projects a professional image at all times. He sets a great example for the rest of the fleet and industry.”

Fitzgerald is only the second driver to reach this milestone with the 28 year old company and is the second most senior driver in the fleet. There will be an award’s presentation in Fitzgerald’s honor to reward and recognize his 20 years of safe and continuous service.
