Do I qualify? Minimum Requirements
- 23 years old
- 1 Years experience in the past 3 years
- Acceptable driving record.
- No DUI/DWI within the previous 5 years.
- No Reckless driving tickets within the previous 5 years.
- Meet all qualification requirements found in the CFR49 Part 391 and Company Policy.
- No conviction of a disqualifying offense found in CFR49 Parts 383.51.
- Must be able to read and write and speak the English language.

About Us
Founded in 1957, Howell's Motor Freight, Inc. is a privately held, Virginia based freight carrier providing refrigerated, dry and frozen truckload and distribution services primarily to the wholesale/retail food and grocery industry and its suppliers. Howell's proud, professional approach to business and its dedication to providing only the highest quality service has attracted and maintained a long list of satisfied customers that includes Hershey Chocolate, M&M/Mars, Nestle, Marzetti, Wrigley, Pfizer and Pella.
Howell's currently operates 200 company-owned power units and 450 refrigerated trailers. The entire fleet is constantly upgraded to provide the high quality, consistent performance customers require and deserve.
Every Howell's Truckload Division truck is equipped with the Qualcomm OmniTRACS satellite communications system that allows constant two-way communications and tracking. The trailer fleet includes 53' equipment.
Safety is the top priority at Howell's. Through prudent hiring, continual training, incentives and strong operational support Howell's enjoys a very high driver retention rate. This has produced very low loss ratios and accident frequency contributing significantly to Howell's long-standing, stable financial record.
