Company has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Yard Jockey Spotter to work in our distribution warehouse in Katy, TX.

Compensation - Average Annual Salary $75,000-$85,000 per year:

• Hourly wage of $26.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week
• Safety shoes required; $250 vouchers provided per year.

Work Schedule

• Work 5 days per week.
• Sunday/Monday and Wednesday through Friday, off Saturday and Tuesday.
• Typical start time 8:00am, work until work is completed, usually 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make 5-20 moves per day with straight-trucks and tractor-trailers using spotter trucks and day cabs.
• LOTS OF WALKING to and from overflow lots and yards in outdoor elements.
• Report mechanical issues, fueling, and checking reefer units.
• Backing tractor trailer and box trucks in and out of docks.
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License from state of Illinois.
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen.
• Minimum 3 months of spotting experience highly preferred (some spotting experience required).
• Experience with yard horse and/or spotter truck highly preferred (some yard horse and/or spotter truck required).
• Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but will train.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical.
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance.
