$28.00 per hour $28.00 per hour   The Delivery Team Trainer and Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and developing a team of frontline employees to deliver key customers in a fast-paced direct store delivery environment. This role is a direct line of support for the Delivery Team and will have escalated responsibilities over that of a Delivery Driver. The Delivery Team Trainer and Recruiter will actively seek potential CDL candidates and partner with local CDL schools to spread awareness of CDL positions in the Market. Additionally, this role will facilitate hands-on employee training with a special focus on driver skills to include professional driving skills development, delivery skill development, understanding of DOT compliance, and DOT road testing, coaching for new hires and existing employees.   Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and partner with local CDL Schools, Recruiting Organizations and Job Fair Opportunities to increase awareness of PBC Career opportunities building relationships with at least 90% of identified organizations in the Western Slope Area
  • Including but not limited to career presentations, supporting school engagement initiatives, keeping Pepsi top of mind with visible school presence
  • Actively recruit at least 10 candidates to apply for open delivery roles each period
  • Support education of internal candidates on driver career path and opportunities; hosting training session once a period with interested candidates
  • Support internal CDL candidates as a liaison throughout the CDL Training process, with weekly progress check ins (including recaps to delivery leadership)
  • Responsible for the hands-on training of all new drivers on every aspect of the delivery process as well as coaching existing drivers, including:
  • Driving Skills development
  • Post-accident skills coaching
  • Develop driver coaching tools
  • Support ongoing driver certification process
  • Subject matter expert on Powered Industrial Truck (Pallet Jacks)
  • Subject matter expert on DOT Regulatory Compliance:
    Hours of Service
    D&A Program
    Pre-Trip/Post Trip
    DQF Process
  • Support Day to Day business operations, including but not limited to:
  • Managing location's driver files and ensure compliance
  • Answer & field customer calls regarding service and ensure 100% customer service
  • Work proactively with sales representatives and delivery operations to understand the needs of the customers and sales force
  • Assist Delivery Team with process improvements to further enhance productivity
  • Support Delivery Team with compliance and PBC safety standards
  • Possess very strong organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Have a highly developed sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated results in improving business performance through leadership
