It is great to see you posting, too, 4roses. How are you doing?

Thank you GMAN ... I took a break to focus on my family at home and now have my Grandson graduated and getting ready to start college in the Spring. Also I kind of thought maybe if I stepped away for a while certain people would forget about me and just let me be part of the family here, that I've been a member of for 10 years. I'm thrilled to see another Female Driver on the site, that encourages me to start coming back and sharing my Life as a trucker with other females. Trucking is the Best ! :)

DriveItUSA ~ I use to carry a 357 Magnum ... but the more I had to go into Canada ~ well lets say I didn't want my truck searched. I've heard bad stories about a driver packin when he crossed the boarder and they found that driver a small room to live in for a very long time once they search his tracker. So I left my gun at home. I driven in the Bronx and other undesirable places and had to spend the night in some very bad places to get unloaded the next day ... having my gun with me helped me to sleep better. I've spoken with Men who have carried and some wished they were packin ... when there's gangs hanging around in dark parking lots ~ no person is safe. If it's a choice between them or me ... I would have No problem taking care of business. .. So thumbs up DriveItUSA. !!

Most companies have a no tolerance policy for guns aboard trucks. Also don't even think about crossing the border with one aboard. Canada also has a no tolerance policy....you could find yourself in a square room that isn't going to be nearly as nice as you think.

That's OK I have a no tolerance policy about Canada.. I'll keep my 45 acp Colt, and they can keep there country.

An armed society is a polite society, irrational arguments from the loony left have no place in a rational debate.

I can't believe your grandson is graduating and going to college. Time really flies. I know you must be very proud of him. I am sure he will have some really wonderful memories as he continues to grow up. You have as much right here as anyone so don't let anybody keep you away. I am also glad to see women posting and visiting the forum. It adds a welcome perspective to the site. Your experience can give other women a view that most men might not be able to offer.

It can't be said any better than that.
