Default XMp3i Radio

Just wondering if anyone on here has (or has had) one of these radios. Looks pretty cool, especially with the scheduled recording and the fact that it can record 5 different channels at the same time. There's some shows that are on that I just don't get to listen to because of my normal schedule, but would love to.

SiriusXM - Shop - XMp3i

i own one what did you want to know about it? it does everything you said. though i will say the remote is a little touchy. it will also record even when its turned off so it's more like a dvr as well.

Have you had any problems with it? I've read through some reviews that users posted on Amazon about it, and it's about 50/50 on whether it's good or not. I had an Inno, but it screwed up royally just after the warranty expired, so I lost money on that one.

I think it's a total piece of crap! light years behind the stilletto, which they dont make anymore. mine will not record when turned off, the pause function sucks, if it runs out of pause time, instead of starting from where you paused, it erases all of the pause time and starts from now. if it loses the signal during a recording, ( which is very frequent) it cancels the entire recording instead of resuming it, if you are scrolling through the channels to see what else is on, and you stop on one for more than a few seconds, it changes to that channel even though you dont hit enter, all in all, I think it an overpriced piece of crap. get yourself a used stilletto, or I will sell you this wonderful xm unit and get myself a stilletto! I have a stilletto 2 now that I was completely happy with, but it's dead and they say it cant be fixed. I wish I would have just bought a used one instead of this xm piece of crap... Did O mention that xm unit is a piece of crap? just my opinion..
Oh yea, one other thing that annoys me, when you first turn it on, it says powering up for about a minute, then it goes off and you have to hit the power button again to turn it on.

Saw something else that's stopping me from buying one: the software you use to set your recordings, transfer your music and such - it's for 32bit Windows only. My laptop is 64bit - it won't even install on the computer.

my computer is 64 bit and it worked okay, you can just drag and drop music into it, the recordings are set right on the unit, but it's still a piece of crap. maybe worth a hundred, no more, like I said, get a used stilletto2, it's superior in every way

That's a Sirius unit. Most of the shows I listen to are on the XM side and I don't want to pay the 'premium' rate for the XM stuff.

i have had no problems with it honestly but your right it's a 50/50 chance. you might want to look into insurance if it breaks they send you a box and you send it back and they give you a refund on the unit!! i had an inno it just died lol after 4 years
