Driving in the entertainment industry is extremely specialized and utilizes the best truck drivers the logistics industry has to offer. You will be part of a crew of professionals who make their living setting up the biggest and best shows in the entertainment industry. Please note: We are specifically looking for drivers living in or around Los Angeles, California. If you are interested in applying, you may need to be available for an interview at our facility in North Hollywood.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Driving 53' tractor-trailers to all event shows across continental US.
-Assisting Load & Unload of trailer at BTFP's facilities and event venues.
-Assist in setup and breakdown of show in venue (managing local crew, staging, etc). This is usually a 6-8 hour load-in and 3-4 hour load-out in addition to driving duties.
-Maintaining logbooks.
-Answering directly to Production Manager while on tour.
Requirements:
-Clean MVR
-Current DOT medical card and long form
-Must pass background check
-Must be US Citizen with Passport, or have ability to obtain passport (for select tours)
-Exceptional backing skills
-Winter/mountain driving experience
-Must be able to travel 8-10 months a year
-24/7 professional demeanor
-Team player attitude
-Ability to work long hours in high-stress theatrical production environments.
Time Commitment: We have 3 tours that run concurrently. Your exact schedule will be determined based on tour and geographic travel schedule. The approximate time commitment will be October-May. You will be flown home for major holidays that the schedule permits.
Shop Work: Prior to each tour, you will need to commit to a minimum 2 weeks of paid training and shop work to prepare for the tour at our production facility in North Hollywood, CA.
Compensation: $1475/tour city. Shop Pay begins at $16/hr.
