sounds more like a fuel (or lack of) problem to me, have you checked that there is fuel in the tank? Is fuel getting to the filter? After sitting for "few years " it could be contaminated with algae. If you've never seen the stuff it's pretty disgusting looking and will clog a filter REAL quick. I had a plastic 5 gal can full of D2 that got contaminated and the stuff actually attached to the sides of the can and grew a ring that kinda resembled seaweed.
I'd start with a new fuel filter and siphon some out of the tank into a clear container and look at it. If that doesn't do it then I'm not sure but there are some valves under the cab between the tanks that could cause a no fuel issue. Other than that I got nothing!
