Default air in my fuel system

can anyone help me? I have a series 60 11.1 ltr detroit and I recently changed my fuel pump and fuel filter it has the davco fuel pro, the truck starts fine but all the fuel in the fuel pro bubbles and drains out in about 1 minute and will not fill back up I have to pour fuel back in the fuel pro. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check for cracked filter bases, holes in lines, any leaks etc..

I had the same problem, I took the vent off one tank and plugged it, and the other vent I put some air into it. Bubbles started showing up.

Check your o-rings on the DAVCO

Happens all the time, an o-ring will fall out or get pinched and the truck will lose prime in no time. Thats why when I change one and it starts to stutter, I flat-foot it for a few seconds. If it quits, its just the filter being touchy. If it doesnt, an o-ring is gone or messed up

Learned that from experience ops:

i have the same 11.1 & the davco too. the only time i had bubbles inside the plastic dome was when the large -o- ring was not sealed. it bubbled but the engine never sut off. it ran the same. even with air in sys, where is your fuel going ? sounds like fuel is not getting to your filter sys. it uses what you put in to prime & is not getting a constant supply of fuel. if this just happened after your work on it, then check your work to make sure no fuel lines are hooked up to the wrong place. the davco has fuel inlet & outlet. this sounds like something minor. post when it gets fixed. and dont worry about telling us how stupid the mistake was that caused it. lol. i could write a book on how many goofy problems i caused to myself. but hey. thats one way to learn. and when u figure out the problem you'll never forget it.
