Based on your criminal history, you probably need to look at doing something else as a career. It would be one thing if one person had a felony drug charge, but both of you seals the deal for sure.

That's what's wrong with this world nobody is forgiving, IF I was by chance to get into an accident then they would try to say it was because I was on drugs. But yet it's drivers thay kills people because they just won't go to sleep! when yopu get into an accident you have to take a drug test with in a certin amount of hours, so that alone would prove i wasn't using drugs.
And I 'm not saying things should just be over looked but it should be that you take every case, case by case, it should be about how long ago it was, how many felonys in all you have, I mean 1 felony is a mistake, 2,3,4,5,6 is a criminal history.
Anyways this could go on and on I just wondered if anyone knew of a good comany that would give us a chance.

i hate to add this but
try looking at this from the company side you both have felony drug possion charges right.. how do thy know you have changed or have just not been caught again...?
thy could look at it as you are just looking for a way to move drugs..?
3 or 4 years ago western express ( nashville, tn.) 11 drivers, 2 mechanics and 3 dispatchers were busted for moving drugs in the cab's of company trucks..
NOT saying you would do that but it is something that thy have to look at.

the long and short of it is any drug charge is going to make it very hard to get a job in trucking but a felony charge will make it nearly impossable...?

Not that I agree with what Big D said but your reply says alot. I would really like to know how someone else keeps you in trouble? The only one that can get/keep you in trouble is YOU!

The CHOICE is yours! Use wisely your power of choice.

A general guideline used by at least one company out there: a) the felony must be at least 5 years old. b) the felony charge must not be a violent or drug related felony.

Just to let anybody out there who cares know I did find a company that will take both of us with our felonys!!!!! great pay tooo!!! I won't give you the name but as a team with me not having any experance there starting my husband off with 49 cents a mile and me at .33 a mile so I'm happy and so for the jack azz you know who you are, I will make it in this!!! 1 as a professional driver and 2 as a strong woman!!!! now sit on that and rotate :D

Glad to hear that someone is willing to give you a second chance smyli. Now take that second chance, and go out there and prove that you are responsible and have learned your lesson. Don't blow it. But you do need to get rid of the attitude and short temper. You sure don't need them out on the road, while driving an 80,000 pound vehicle. If someone on an internet web site can get you all riled up, i'd hate to think what would happen if some 4-wheeler cuts you off. Good luck.
