Whats the lastest news on the legal battle with oregon ?

My husband and his trainer put in around 760 miles today they are in Kingston Springs just west of Nashville. My husband drove this morning out of Virginia when he was driving they came upon two different accidents he said one of the accidents that occurred involved six cars. He did not think there were any fatalities, so that was a good thing.

They do not want to get stuck over the Thanksgiving weekend without a load and just sitting. They want to at least be loaded and heading for somewhere.

My husband will have to come home by November 29 so as of now the trainer is talking about having him test out on November 28 and be able to come home with his own truck.

I know my husband is looking forward to being on his own but he also wants to know all the things he needs to know!

I have hired the attorney from Road Law. Since we have sent the money I have not actually spoken to the attorney. I will more than likely do that this next week. I spoke to his legal assistant and she was not receiving the faxes I sent out. Finally I sent them out again last night and they have gotten it.

I will give them a day to look over the information as it was about 28 pages in the fax.

They know that we need an attorney there in Medford on December 1st. I am hoping he can get something in the works with the DA before that date.

I am hoping that when the DA finds out all of the other information that was left out of the police report that they rethink the charges being brought against my husband. If not we will plead not guilty and request a jury trial.

According to the guy I spoke to at the BLM (the building he took out the tree and the light pole) he does not believe that the police requested the video. I hope they did because it will show it all. If they did not it will not look good for them. I mean that is evidence. Everything on video. The only reason why they would not want it is because they know the charges are bogus.

I just wanted to say that we have also already booked our flight and room down in Medford as my husband has to appear since it is a felony charge against him.

This is his second time there. I don't think it is like one of his favorite places to go. But the miles to California are around 2900 and that is a nice run :D

Be prepared to post Bail/Bond after the arraignment.

We don't have any money :sad: The attorney if any good should be able to get it so he is released on OR. He has no record and since we will be at the hearing I think that should show that he is not a flight risk.

The attorney is going to try and get the felony charge dropped. They have no proof of intent and it is a lame charge.

If the felony charge was not on there we would not have to appear I think we could just have an attorney there.

It would still be best to be prepared to post bond. It may not be an issue, but could, especially since there is a felony charge involved. I believe you have have a bonding company post the bond for you with 10% of the bond as their fee. You would then only have to pay 10%. Hopefully, you won't need to post any sort of bond.
