Yes I have a question, you stated that "TMC has one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry".

What is the turnover rate at TMC?

How many drivers make it 1 year?

How many make it 5years?

Sure  ..how about is the transflo still going to have a turnaround time that matters to percentage calculation?

Do linehaul drivers spend at least 34 hours home when they're home on the weekends, or is 2 hours through the house to do laundry really considered a "weekend" home?

And last, but certainly not least (for today at least :)), why do you guys haul so much COPPER, and why does it seem my husband gets stuck with at least 3 loads of it a month :?

There is a full explanation of the Transflo system in the last paycheck. Seems OK I suppose. Though standing in line a Le Pilot instead of tossing an envelope in the the box seems time consuming. I would guess it saves the company money and billing efficiency; which is fine I suppose. We have to pick up the materials at a terminal.

My suggestion is that the company also put the forms in PDF format and put them on the web site so that we can print them at home. Pass it on Jerod.

Quit picking on Jerod. It seems like he doesn't have too much experience with the driving side of TMC. I can't answer your question about the turnover rate, but I suspect it much higher than I would like primarily because TMC is a training company.

Jerod, my advice is to be honest. You will recruit far more drivers by doing so than trying to sell that TMC is perfect. No company is perfect. I too highlight the good about TMC and defend it against the bashers. If someone wants to discuss a legitiment complaint there are many on here that will discuss it with you. Only in this way will we all make TMC a better company. At least that is my goal.

Damn all of a sudden this thread's on FIRE! One day away and I missed so much! Shame on you all.

OK.... heeere we go:

Snake Ize: I think I looked damn good in a cheer leader skirt and I THINK I caught you checking out my legs. Yes you are right, I CAN (and sometimes deserve) a good dig now and then. no harm done and no hard feelings.

von: Yes, most definitely he'd be called a chooch.

Terry: Wazzup Dude!!!! Your comment "You have rendered yourself irrelevant" was priceless. I have to remember that line to use on a few choice friends of mine here in NYC. lol

madii's Wife: said "Do linehaul drivers spend at least 34 hours home when they're home on the weekends, or is 2 hours through the house to do laundry really considered a "weekend" home?" I ALWAYS got at least 48 hours. But that was me here in NYC.

jerod: LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I'D BE BACK AT TMC IN A HEART-BEAT IF THEY WILL ALLOW MY GIRLFRIEND AND MY 2 TINY CAGED FERRETS TO RIDE ALONG! (hint hint hint)
Talk to Clint or Duane and see if any strings can be pulled! Then I could stop posting questions all over this board about looking at dry van with US Xpress or flatbed with ATS.
I'd be willing to pay any insurance fees and/or deposits required. Then I could REALLY tick off Snake Ize by putting my website back up and put on my cheerleader uniform again!

As always, thanks again :)

See..thats about what we'd like to see here, he's just scared to lose a good FM, and scared of the stories he says he's heard from other linehaul drivers saying they don't get that much time. We may give it a shot though, if he doesn't start seeing more Sundays here.

Everyone's home time is different depending on where you live or who your FM is and how good a relationship you develop with him/her. Legally, ALL companies MUST give you at LEAST your legal reset time. If not tell them you refuse to comply with their illegal request and immediately request to speak to the safety department. My FM NEVER gave me a problem with hometime though. I would have gotten home even EARLIER on Friday's if not for the GW Bridge in NYC and the HOURS of rush hour traffic!
There WILL be the OCCASSIONAL Saturday home or the missed weekend, but for me, that only happened 2 times in 6 months.

Jerod, What is your association with TMC?

Welcome Back!!! Terrylamar....

Hey Fred, if you get the OK for the pets let me know, I been wanting to take my terrier mix dog, Red Fred with me too...

Turnover rate... Hum I'm not going anywhere else, anytime soon... well unless it is another division of TMC that catches my interest.... last time I checked I was driving a truck that runs Great, and looks Great..
yes that matters to me.. I would hate being in shabby, worn out truck, runnin on may pop tires, getting ripped off on every pay period....

had income of 32.000, 1st yr, 54,000, 2nd yr, 63,835, 3rd yr, and am in the high 50,000's right now and this yr ain't over yet......
Basicly I ain't complaining..... I surely am not making what an O/O would make, but I Don't have the operating expences they have eather!!!!!!!!!!!

My take on the transfo,
we'll all have to see how it affects each of us...
I like the trippak.... no waiting, no dealing with tired, unhappy pilot cashers... need i say more...
Althought I can see how faxing(transflo) is more timely and is probably alot more cost effective for TMC...
But I Know that it will be more time consuming for each driver. and thats my main gripe about it...... and the fact I think they want us to buy our own tape to use on it... nothing was said about ithe tape being provided for us... tape is cheap, but it still would be an expence....

Now Let's consider this... how about setting the Qualcom up with a fax...
There are many O/O's that use their Wifi internet connection to do just that.. right there in the comfort of their truck...

alright enough out of me for now,
