Hii all!!!!!
It's good to see that most of you are still around.... I was disapointed also that Flatbed Fred's site was down.. But if he gets time maybe He will get something back up there... yep bn out with a trainer is hard enough, but bn out with one who's trk and body isn't clean well that not cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! makes you wonder what is creeping in the crevises... Terrylamar, you were givin some good suggestins for getting your cert points up.. and told the trainiee he could email for more ideas, does that pertain to everyone or just to him?? just thought I'd ask, not tryn to step on any toes, just interested in doing all I can to bring home as much green stuff as I can for my family.... BTW the last time I unld in S FL, I reloaded in Jackson... but the best part was being on the coast all wknd... love the salt water and my Aunt and Uncle who saved me from the trk for that wknd!!! Hey I see that a few are talkin bout the differences between linehaul an longhaul.. what is your all's opinions bout the other divisions, like the specilized, and the dedicated divisions.. I hear some about the john deere and tx dedicated, alcola, ect... Is any division better than the rest, Or is there one to avoid... rate em as you see em..... I also see that some of you are talkn bout FMs.. there are some great ones, but there are those that you can only say OMG how did that person even get hired!!!!!!!!!! I over heard that one FM in specilized was really doing most his fleet something wrong.. you would think that it would be in the FM's best interest to at least keep his drivers running and happy. If Fm's get paid %of the loads, then a well paid, hard runn bunch would seem to pay out better for the FM, as well as for the drivers... but what am I to say I only know about what I experance, and haven't been BTDT in a FM's shoes.... well I'll stop this for awhile... Happy Safe Trails to You All |

I see a few old names still around. Hows my favorite short fat bald guy Freddy :). Von how you been, I am still around running out of lafarge and HD. Been on sick leave for a month for carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists and a tendon in right hand.
I see there are still a bunch of get ready to see the country guys posting and starting this new career. Its a good career if you dont have anything to keep you at home. Its like any other job, the good the bad and the Ugly. Well keep em rolling and the shiny side up guys. |

Hey Hey Now Fred U b talkn up all tcurr secerits... He might have a few u shouldn't telln... might make a few on here blush...
Has anyone of you gotten on the drivers connection, and done the ladder and the consignee surveys?? Do you think the surveys will help, hinder or accomplish anything???? got the ladder one done eariler, I was thinging about the next to last Q. on the ladder survey... If you got hurt on your on ladder would you put the fault on the Co.....(not worded just like they did but the same meaning entended) I wrote, yes if on Co's time. but no if on my time... So lets think about the Question some----- hum it would seem to me if I get hurt on the Co's time, wearing boots and clothes I bought, and I blame the Co for it, then If I was on Co time, on a ladder I bought, I should blame the Co for that as well... does it make since to you that way? I don't wine and throw blame over small things to begin with... But If I had a lost time accident on Co time, then yes I would expect the Co the foot the bills and not put the burden on myself/family to pay for... haven't done the consignee yet will tackle that later.... |

Good luck on the carpal tunnel thing. Sometimes with all the bungee pulling and wheel gripping, I get some tingling in my forearms; keep trying to stretch things out instead of surgery. Seems to be under control when I have an occasional break from tarping. Unfortunately you never have that luxury Gonna be at the Mother Ship next weekend for a a service etc. Take care. |
