I would suggest that you dress "professionally". Jeans, shirt with collar(some long sleeve, some short sleeves), and yes t-shirts are ok. Since you are facing winter.... long sleeve t-shirts would be ok. Having a sweatshirt or two on hand is a good idea. I have no idea what a "wife beater" is....but I'm sure its not necessary. A baseball cap is good. You can wear "roach killers" as they would be fine...but depending on the kind of freight you will be hauling, you may need to have steel toed shoes as well. A pair of tennis shoes would be good as well....and make sure you have flip flops for the showers.
I would also suggest a very heavy jacket, a stocking cap, and even possibly a balaclava. Also, for emergency usages...you may want to find a good military surplus store and buy an Army (military grade) arctic sleeping bag to keep stashed under the bunk. If you ever break down in winter....or get isolated and run out of fuel....you will need it in the great white north....meaning anywhere north of Ocala FL, in the winter. Insulated gloves are a must as well. 8)
