I don't know where you are at, but you may want to check out Crete and its sister companies Hunt (flatbed, no its not JB Hunt) and Shaffer (reefer). Most drivers there seem pretty happy. They have quite a few terminals spread around the country.

Recruiters for many companies are "salespeople"....take it from there.

If I had a nickel for every lie told.... I'd be able to retire and live like a king.

$1000.00 a week is 3225.8 miles per week, or 645.16 miles per day.

Now, ask yourself this question: If they actually were able to get you that many miles every 5 days....then why do they need recruiters? Wouldn't there be a waiting list for drivers wanting to work for them?

You'll be much better off "expecting" 2500 miles a week, no more than that, then you won't get all pissed off and post a massive rant here, or somewhere else.

Talk to CFI's recruiters....see how many miles they will "guarantee". Call 1-800-641-4748 ask for recruiting. In my experience, they are just about the only honest and reliable recruiters in the industry. Well, that is besides my current employer/terminal manager who made no promises or guarantees but said "I'll keep you busy". She has!!

Never believe anything a recruiter tells you, ever.
They are like used car salesmen, they'll tell you exactly what you want to hear.
Unless you get it in writing.......what they have to say has no value.

Jim Aartman in Ripon, CA will keep you out of the Northeast and get you plenty of miles. But, you have to be ready to run 650+ miles day in, day out with a food-grade tanker . I loved it there...
