Does anyone know of good companies tht run out of tht area?

well I don't know of any otr company's that have a terminal out of San Diego but I know Swift, and I believe Werner have a terminal out of Fontana which is about two hours away. I am not sure if swift does a orientation or "mentor" out of Fonatana. You can call a recruiter and see what your options are. I use to work for swift and if you live more than 50 miles from your home terminal they would let you take your truck home. Well that is if you have room for it. Best of luck too you.

Schneider, Swift, Werner, CFI, May, I've all seen in the area. A Werner glass hauler routinely parks on Saturn (19th) between Palm and Coronado Ave, ditto Knight. More probably have drop/swap yards on Otay Mesa to support freight coming from/going to Mexico.
If you're concerned about being the same place as your yard, I wouldn't sweat it, my first employer's yard was in Hueytown, I lived in NE Florida. BOL

My friend drove for schneider now at western express an both got him home on the weekends in san diego.

Knight does run out out of San Diego, they told me you leave on Monday and when ya reach 2500 miles ya go home... I tried to get that deal up here in Tulare but they don't run that way up here :sad:

We're in San Diego and hubby drives for Southern Refigerated (SRT). His terminal is in Texarkana, Arkansas so he just brings his truck home.
