Default I'M LEAVING FOR SWIFT, WHO DRIVES FOR THEM..?

I AM LEAVING THIS SUNDAY FOR SWIFT IN GARY, INDIANA TO JOIN THEIR FLATBED DIVISION... DO YOU KNOW IF YOU GET ATLEAST 2,500 MILES PER WEEK WITH WEEKLY PAY THAT THEY DON'T SCREW YOU OVER WITH..? AND CAN YOU PICK WHICH TYPE OF TRACTOR YOU DRIVE..? I CAN'T STAND THEM FREIGHTLINERS... AND DO THEY REALLY PAY ACTUAL MILES OR SHORTEST MILES..? AND HOW ABOUT YOUR DEADHEAD OR BOBTAIL DRIVING, IS THAT PAID FOR AS WELL..? THESE ARE THE THINGS I NEED TO KNOW...

Well, it might be better for you, if you ask these questions to your recruiter before jumping on the job. I would imagine, they will put you in a voolvoo. That's what I've seen, lately. I would think that they would pay ya dead head miles, but, I dont work for Swifty, so you might wanna ask them.

1ST OFF TO JACKRABBIT, " I FORGOT CAPS MENT LOUD TALKING,LOL"...
But it seems Swift were more persistent in getting me to come to their orientation... My 1st choice for flatbed were TMC, Stevens Transport, Crete... They all turned me down...

I have six points on my license 2 points drop off this month plus five years ago i have a ever so little misdemeanor (disorderly conduct) on my record... Thats what I'm thinking they turned me down for...I sure passed my trucking class with flying colors...over all 98 percentile...It was that dang Parallel that got me... And Maverick hasn't responded...

It looks like Swift may be your only choice. Make sure that they have run your MVR and criminal background before you get to orientation or you may be making a u-turn home.

Excellent advise, assuming they're willing to do it. Many companies will 'pre-hire' you without doing any paperwork just so they get first stab at fresh meat!
