Tyson seems to be one of those companies you never read anything about, positive or negative, in the various trucking forums. That could mean that the drivers are satisfied just enough not to complain or heap praise or are too busy to get online and do either, lol.

Tyson wouldn't be a choice for me....

But I've never driven for them...

The experiance I've had with them was awhile ago...
If they treat their drivers like they treat their lower management and labors..
The answer would have to be a Big No not nada......

What PackRatTDI said is the truth... Even as far as the times I see 2 or 3 Tyson trks running together they are never talkn about the co, always about family or other things...

2 years ago, I would have told you tyson is a great place to drive for. As a recruiter, Tyson drivers were a very hard hire for me. Nowdays Tyson is having horrible financial problems and jobs are being cut left and right. I find Tyson drivers one of the easiest hires. With that said, they pay pretty good, they do have pretty good benefits, if they can keep you moving, you will do OK. The question is with all those financial problems and job cuts, are they going to be able to keep you moving?

Tyson pays o/o's $1/mi WITH the trailer

If you judge a company by how it treats its labor and management, then UPS is a crappy outfit. however, their drivers do well, so you can't always base decisions on that

Last I checked, Tyson was no longer hiring O/O with their own trailers.

In fact, they've transferred control of their owner operator division to another company.

The $1/mi was in an ad I read of their's and must be 1-2 years ago. So, they probably are 3rd partied now

The Tyson (Now Greatwide) O/O fleet is what was left of PBX when Tyson bought out IBP. So, yeah, they're on their third owner.
