Since you missed it, I'll repeat myself:
No NEED to. I didn't "miss" anything.

I read the article. I'm quite aware of its content and am in agreement with pretty much the whole thing.
I read it also, and am mostly in agreement with the postition taken as to the "possibility" of a certain amount of rehabilitation.

I'm not saying that Bush was a bad president and I'm not saying that he was a good one.
Neither is the author. However, he DOES quote the statistic that the HUGE majority of Americans (many of them had to be Republicans) at the END of 8 years of "War and Bush" , when polled, voted him the worst in our history. Perhaps, with time their opinions will upgrade him to the THIRD worst president in history. That should make his mother proud! :hellno:

And I could do the same thing as you did and pull out some pretty damning evidence AGAINST your boy in the white house not being worthy of leading a cub scout troop, let alone our nation.
Yes.... but we (at YOUR bequest) are talking about DUBYA here.
YOU quoted a section of the article that supported YOUR opinion or belief that he may fair better "eventually." I simply countered with a quote from the SAME article to show that BOTH opinions were discussed in the article.

Regarding Bush, though,
Awwww..... do we HAVE to? I think I'll invoke the "Disregarding" thread on this one! :lol2:

what I have said many times is that at the time, through two elections where he was duly and fairly elected (spare me the bogus conspiracy diaharea please),
I don't deal in conspiracies. There are more than enough FACTS and even SCOTUS dissenting opinions to prove that his election(s) were neither a "due process" of election nor Federal laws.... and there certainly is NOTHING "fair" about discounting the majority VOTE of both Florida AND the Nation (Gore STILL won the popular vote.)

he was a helluva lot better choice than the other two options. Now, if you want to make an argument that the lesser of two evils is not the way things should be done in the voting booth, then I would go along with you on that. But at the time, that is what we had.
We don't really KNOW how Gore would have done while 'following in the footprints' of Clinton. I am not a BIG fan of his.... but, Gore probably would have continued the fiscal responsibility that Clinton put in place (granted with the help of the GOP in congress,) and who
knows if there would have even BEEN an attack on 9/11?
Sen. Kerry was probably quite well qualified for the job. Nothwithstanding the bogus "swiftboat campain," he HAD served in war, and had a LONG history of service in the Senate. Two things "YOUR BOY" could not claim.
So.... I'm not willing to concede that Dubya was the lesser of two evils, although it is possible. Oh, and BTW....
IN the voting booth, REGARDLESS of the results in a few counties in Florida (or the whole state as I recall,) Americans overwhelmingly "settled" for Gore! (as they have done for Obama.)

However, I will again make the point that whatever Bush did or did not do, right or wrong, he never did anything remotely like what the criminal-in-chief is doing.
And I will continue to state the opposite opinion. I am convinced (through a preponderance of proof,) that Bush had a Plan to invade Iraq ON THE TABLE before 9/11, and that he was just looking for an excuse. When it came along, he played his cards perfectly, getting the CIA to give him the false info that he needed to convince Congress that we needed to go to war! As a result, he has inflamed the Muslim world to a degree that we may NEVER be able to calm. And the only ones who PROFITED were big business (especially the oil industry and the MIC.)

The only positive thing about the Hitler-wannabe in the white house is that he will pretty much drive the democratic party into utter extinction. And today's democratic party is an utter failure, in dire need of a complete overhaul or being fully replaced by a new party.
You aren't listening to the same news that I am. It is the Republican party that is being SPLIT by their own aggressiveness and prejudices (and in danger of being "replaced" by the Tea Party!)
They CAME from the "wilderness" (as ALL politicos called it,) to become the Party of NO.... and that FAILED. It will fail again this fall as the economy edges upward, the immigration issue is placated, and Wall Street is finally "corralled."

If you don't like that, tough beans. It is what it is and no amount of deflecting or passing the buck is going to save it.
You really ARE "out of touch." Recent polling shows that the majority of Americans trust Obama to solve our problems 2.5 to 1 over the GOP! There are FEWER voters identifying as Republican than Democrat, and the Independents could go either way depending on RESULTS come election time.... NOT party "ideology."
And as for FIXATIONS..... YOU started THIS thread about Bush. I don't recall EVER starting an entire THREAD about Bush. YOU used THIS thread, and EVERY one you appear on, to show YOUR fixation with Obama. I made occaisional "jabs" at Dubya on various threads over dispersed time.
YOU have made continuous perjoritive comments about Obama as being someone's "BOY," or a Hitler wannabe, or un-American. I never said anything LIKE that about Dubya! IMMEDIATELY upon discovering that his "language problem" was possibly due to a mental disorder, I made a pledge (and kept it) to never again ridicule his comments (known as Bushisms,) as being proof or a result of any intellectual defficiency. And I have NEVER questioned his patriotism or citizenship!
You wanta compare YOUR record to MINE in this regard??
:hellno:
I don't THINK so!
So.... let's dispense with the inflammatory language about the POTUS, the continual MISINFORMATION about my political status, and the biblical "predictions" that I will someday soon find out that YOU are right about everything. You can't PROVE any of them, so YOUR "opinions" smell no sweeter than MINE!
