Yeah thats the real answer. Divorce the wife of 15 years and go screw everything moving. He will be really successful if he does that. Its hard work and expensive when youre screwing around, his business will suffer and she will have half of the possessions. Whats with your name?? Is that the best you could come up with?

I think its a real topic because you are planning for success in the business and failure in the marriage as most people do. Businesses come and go, if your wife has been good to you then you need to protect that.

You have some kinda insecurity, real or unfounded. That is why you're thinking about how you can survive if your wife does a real big number on you.

You want some kinda separation from your wife. Like she is controlling and you just want something that will make you separate from her in some respects. "This is MY business and it is something that you can't hassle me about. This business let's me be myself and have my own space. I CAN stand on my own, separate from your high paying jobs, etc.(or something)"

Whatever it is man, it is best to find out why you have this need to separate yourself from her on this.

You may need more than an apology.

You've given her reason to question her "security".

She's NOT going to forget about it...ever. It'll always be in the back of her mind.

This probably rates up there just under getting caught screwing around.

I asked my wife about it just now, (early morning is the best time, nothing has pi$$ed her off yet), she said she wouldn't want any possessions of mine that would hinder me to make money. That way there's no excuse to miss the huge alimony payments!

Btw, it sounds like you've got a good wife, who will keep herself busy while you're away, and can earn a good living.........

She is definately on the way up, and she should be asking for a pre nup from you, given the risk in trucking. She should also demand you incorporate to protect her half of the assets.

You never said who had earned the most money, or where the money was coming from to buy the truck (I assume your savings), but she should have a pretty good retirement coming at some point, and could stand to lose a lot as well.

Put you marriage first.
