Which would put them in non-compliance with the D.O.T. and federal law. I don't doubt that there are those companies out there, but when the D.O.T. comes in to do an audit, those companies typically go out of business due to the fines that are levied on them. It's those outlaw firms that don't do verifications that contribute greatly to the issues in the industry.
There is the issue, these outlaw companys make it look like they are leaal, i work for a company right now that tells all of its drivers in Orintation that they dont care about logbooks as long as it looks leagal wehn we turn them in. Now lets say i ot to DOT and tell them this and they goto the company, who are they going to belive???
there needs to be more checks done on companies, b/c if the driver screws up the company is not being looked at.....
