There was a big stink about Oklahoma a few years ago. It was rather inexpensive to get your base plates and permits in that state. Illinois and some other states sued them and they will now only allow you to base there if you or an employee pays taxes in the state and you have a telephone and street address in the state. Most other states have gone to doing the same thing. I could tag my trucks in either Georgia or Tennessee since I have a legal address in both states. I chose Tennessee for tax reasons. In either state, I needed to have a street address for my business and a telephone number in the business name in the respective state. Since it was cheaper to do it in Tennessee, that was what I did. Both states list the requirements on their state government website. I suggest starting with that and if you aren't clear or the information isn't listed, then call Pennsylvania and ask them. You say your LLC is registered in Pennsylvania. Do you mean that you set it up in Pennsylvania or simply registered to do business in the state?
