Another thing I don't believe it is in my best interest to lease equipment from the same company that control my load assignments. Reason is what if the company intentional or unintentional can't find freight for my truck, I could be starved out of the truck with no recourse but to turn in the truck to the company. If I own the equipment I could look to lease on with another company.
If you want to know more about the lease program then call Davis. Their financial manager will go over the program and even work a budget with you. I also think that all lease operators with Davis will get without additional cost access to a tax account as that is what they are offering company drivers who are switching.
I may come back someday, but I will own my equipment if I do.
