Default Anti-Idling in California

Has anyone heard of and/or witnessed a driver being found in violation of the anti-idling laws in California?

My company's fuel guru claims that one of our drivers was fined $300 for idling. For some reason I find this claim a bit fishy.

Three weeks ago CARB palced a statewide ad, informing "Truckers" that the idling grace period had been voided, and that LEO's would and could begin writing tickets.

It depends where you are at and if it's your un-lucky day, I don't idle when parked, so I don't worry about it.

If I was a cop I would issue tickets to company drivers who sit in a truck without an APU who don't idle in 90 degree an up temps ...This would be the offical fix it ticket for stupid.

And exactly how does that help the company driver? You think that the company is going to feel bad that their driver has to pay a stupid fine? Hate to burst your bubble, buy you know that the companies don't care.

Now, if the fine went directly to the truck owner, THAT would make an impression.

So would drivers not working for those copanies...But I would ask the driver why he/she not idiling in the 90 degree weather ,and if they said ...B/C this sh!t bag copany will fire me if I do ,and they are just trying to stay employed while looking for new job ...Then I would give them a warning, But if they sounded proud about it then first I'd give them a sobriety test ,and if sober A ticket would be issued .

Heheh - I misinterpreted your post. Didn't mean to jump on ya for defending the drivers rights & needs to stay comfortable.
