Default New York State weight limits.

I'm trying to figure out what everyone is talking about, NY being different with the bridge laws. I can't find anything on it. I have a Mack CH-612 with a 10 yard dump body on it. The wheelbase is 154". That means I can register it at 40,000lb in NY right? What is different about NY?

maybe they are referring to all those "No trucks with R permit" signs they posted recently? I know they talk about that at NYSDOT.gov

Ok so with a single axle dump truck with a 12' 10" wheelbase, I should be able to go 40,000lb right?
As long as I'm on the Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula chart, I'm good right?
