Mine was mfd in 2008. The only thing I hate is the right arm-rest adjusts higher than the left ......Grrrrr!

maybe mine is defective, it says it has full recline but it doesnt.

Maybe there is some kind of "stop" on it?

I recently bought the Legacy Silver seat made by Seats, Inc. Bought it at my local Freightliner dealer. It is leather, high back, and has full recline, a feature that I wanted. Steel Horse Cowboy is right about the seat bottom. I paid a little over 600.00, supposedly on sale. The parts guy at the dealership knocked 30 dollars off the marked price for me, might be worth offering a little less than marked price. I like the seat alot and would buy it again. Many seats I looked at don't recline far enough to suit me, too upright. Shop around, our local KW dealer was much higher price for the same identical seat.

I have a Legacy Silver as well........and I HATE IT.

This will be my next seat purchase. I had one before.....shoulda bought one last year.

I've heard that the price is coming down. The price I heard was $4600, I think. That might still be more than my truck is worth! lol

The pounding of the road takes quite a toll on the body. It usually takes a few days to work all the stiffness out of my neck and back once I get home. My basketball, tennis, and skiing pay the price...and I'm still relatively young and in good shape. I wouldn't buy the seat if it meant cutting back somewhere, but if I can afford something that my health will benefit from, I'm all for it. We're thinking of redoing the sleeper, so I'll probably wait until then...maybe the price will fall :)

No arguments here. That's why i'm asking. Everything comes for the price, and i've always shoot for the value. But still i doubt it's that much better....

Even $3000 is too damn much for a seat. There are much better things to spend it on..... and $7k is almost enough for a rebuild. I'd do that and buy a $500 seat and keep making money. What good is a fancy seat if the motor don't work lol

The seat is pretty impressive. It takes a pretty severe vibration (think I40 in OK) and makes it almost perfectly smooth. As to whether it's worth the price, that's depends on the person. My body has taken its toll over the years from various sports injuries (rehabbing a shoulder now) yet that's how I spend a good portion of my off time. Anything I can do to minimize the impact of the job and get more out of my time off is money well spent to me.

It's the same reason I drive an autoshift, run wide-base tires, and have Rideking shocks. Do I need them? No, but it makes the ride more comfortable and less taxing at the end of the day.

As for keeping the engine running vs. a comfortable ride...anybody having to make that decision isn't charging enough ;)
