I'm just curious Whats your purpose in life ??? All I ever see you do is harrass people n be negative ??? Is that it ??? Is that all you have in your world ???

Typical response will be something along the lines of"I am not negative I just give my opinion and point out the obvious and I do not harrass I only respond and defend myself when personaly attacked."
Thats baiscly what I expect to see with some variations.

That place I delivered to yesterday was a sugar refinery. I went through one section that would make you puke if you spent more than 10 minutes. The guys that unloaded me were a bunch of characters for sure.

After I was done unloading I was driving back to Combes TX and a little truck stop. On the way all the Mexicans were cooking chicken on the side of the road for $5.00 a plate. I'm sure it came with beans and rice or whatever. Smelled great!!!! I went back to the truck stop instead because there was a little cafe there. Not sure what I had. I was so hungry and let the little Mexican honey pick something out.

There was a bench outside the cafe and I just sat there in the sun taking in the slow pace of everything around me. Very laid back. It was still the morning and the smell reminded me of the Caribbean with all the moisture in the air.

I went back to my truck and was going to take a snooze there but then this guy who was there before outside talking was still there and came over to my truck. Well, he was a freaking motor mouth, non stop talking. Well, gotta go, I'm late for my next pickup and burned rubber out of that place!!! There was a husband and wife on the other side of me that must have read my lips when I shut the door saying "HOLY SHEET". They were laughing at me as I held my hand up and made the gesture of someone talking non stop.

When I first pulled into that truckstop there was 3 trucks with the drivers standing outside. I could smell something strong coming from there trucks and asked what they were hauling. I can't remember, it was spinach or something like that. They were all loaded up and all over 100,000 gross. They were waiting for their spotter to call and say the weigh station was closing up for a break or lunch!!!!! If it didn't close, they would drive over 100 miles out of their way to bypass. Carrying that extra 20k+ was well worth the risk and even paying the overweight ticket was still going to net them more money they told me. Interesting!!!

I drove about 80 miles to a more modern truck stop with a paved lot and showers. My dash lights went out the other night and so did my tractor running lights so I had a pretty good idea the problem was outside and I was right. I found a wire harness that had rubbed up against the frame and was shorting out so I fixed that.

I then installed my new fog lights. I bought the ones that bolt under the bumper. From my reading I found out that fog lights do the best when installed 1 foot above the ground. I was ready to get my drill out when I realized there was tons of holes already there!!!! It took no time to bolt the lights on and it was well worth spending $200 bucks for these babies instead of all the other ones I found for $59.95. The bolts for hooking these up are 3/4" instead of the flimsy ones on all the others. I was able to crank the crap out of the bolts. The beams are your standard headlight beams in a heavy duty stainless steel case and easy to replace.

It took me hours to find the power for the fog lights. I had my 12v tester with the light bulb out there testing 9 different empty connectors. Come to find out, I had to have the right combination of switches on. The key had to be on, the headlights AND high beams had to be shut OFF before the fog lights came on. I now have to find a building one of these mornings to pull my truck within 25' and line them up although I think they are right on. There was enough straight edge reference points to get them at least in line with the bumper.

So today I plan to service my Rigmaster. Change the oil, oil filter and fuel filter and tighten the compressor and alternator belts. Time for a truck cleaning also and RainX on all the glass. Oh yea, nap too!!! :D

Steve, have you ever delivered/picked up at or near a paper mill? If so was the smell comparable to the sugar mill? You said it was bad so i assumed it was the smell, i know those paper mills are pretty hard to get used to. I never would have thought a sugar mill would be crappy to be around.

I use to play paintball at an old indoor factory near Lowell Mass. It was near a tannery and the smell from there was just as bad. In my younger days I was one of the original members of the Green Machine Paint Ball team in Mass. Pistols only in those days!! I still have the welts to prove it. lol
