brokers that call to cancell Loads
Hmmm you guys say fight n negotiate with them to get the best rates, but I am seeing a pattern here .....on my two best negotiated rates, I got calls latter a couple hours latter saying the load was cancelled.............kind of suspecious they found someone else to run it cheaper cuz I had yet to run a load with either broker yet.
Hmmmm on one I even have a faxed rate confirmation....do I have any recourse here....doubt it really ....just one more example where we are at their mercy :-p Will be reall glad if load-it's shipper contacts work out.........like to tell this broker game good bye :-p |
(TONU) charge Truck ordered not used charge
|
K...I cringe what this process would involve.....I could charge it...and they will ignore it since its not in the rate confirmation what happens when if the load is supposidly cancelled....I suspect this is going to involve a lengthy court battle?

Post the broker on the loadboard you got the load from to make sure they get the credit for screwing you. You call the loadboard you subscribe to and report them.
|
Thks Sid ...yeah probably my best option...but dont the brokers pay a subscription rate too?
So probably wouldnt go that far if they are a customer too.......well just another example where IMO the brokers have the edge most of the time :-p |
Yeah they likely found a cheaper truck. I usually write my TNU terms on the confirmation before I fax it back to them. Only once have I ailed to collect.
Post the brokers name and MC number of they don't pay so I can add them to my no load list. |
That's how they get their ratings. From feedback from carriers.

On the TNU....I suspect though that ALL brokers write somewhere in the long contract you sign, to set-up, that they are NOT reasponsible for cancelled loads......dunoo...I am on new ground here being a new carrier and making all kinds of rookie mistakes' |
Thks Sid...yeah cant possibly hurt to complain to getloaded.com
|
If you have TONU terms in your rate confirmation and the cancellation violates those terms, you won't have much trouble collecting. You didn't mention how close to the pick-up time the cancellation occurred. If it was the day before, you likely won't get many brokers to agree to terms that will penalize them for canceling the day before p/u.
Some of us keep saying, know your business and CYA. But what do we know? |
