hmmm yeah no worries, i quess i can chaulk it up to another, 'rookie' mistake of mine, I dont always get clarity on this subject(TONU).

Yeah it didnt actually p/u untill the next day (so only out the negotiation time on the phone :-p), but hey, this just seems one more example where the broker has more cards to get us to run cheaper in his arsenal then we have as a carrier. I mean as a broker, these two were obviously fielding other calls on their loads and seeing if they could get another carrier to run it cheaper. Just urrks me they were wasting my time.

I certainly wont lose any sleep over losing these loads, even after I negotiated higher it was still a rate most here say you wont pull for.

Hmmm imagine that...I run cheap freight, and I am still getting undercut by carriers willing to run cheaper :-p

Trade the dry van in for a reefer. Much more opportunities with a reefer. With the exception of a few dry loads you can haul both commodities in a reefer.

1.Well refer was out cuz.....brokers are making me look like an idiot now and bending me to their will....wait till they get me in a food warehouse...id be the dead meat.
2. id end up punching one of my car hauler clients when he was bitching at me bout the 1/8 inch scratch in his mercedes :-p ....so no go
3. Hmmmm quess that leaves flatbed.....yeah want a really good step-deck with levelers.
