They're not talking about the kingpin that connects to your fifth-wheel

Yup, I just realized that about the king pins. Like I say, I'll bring it into the shop since this is stuff I can't do and just hope they find it without trial and error.
The steer that wore before isn't showing any signs of wear yet but I feel it's too early yet. Roswell was just another built up town. For those of you who don't remember or know, Roswell was where the alien ship crashed and the government covered it up and kept the ship and the aliens locked up in Area 51. Mind you, this is all here say. I was kind of hoping it was still a real small town like in the past with roadside alien memorabilia. Well, I'm in Texas now and back on Rt 40 and ready to make some time home. I can deliver 24 hours a day so I really don't have to plan my attack. I should be home either late Friday or early Saturday morning and will put my truck in the shop on Monday. Oh yea, forgot. Total Quality Logistics called me on Monday and started asking questions about my truck and my problems again. I noticed I missed a call from them yesterday also. I knew this wasn't the last I would hear from them. I'll bet they call me today and wouldn't be surprised if they called T/A to verify if I indeed had a problem. After I get paid for the load I did for them I need to mess with those dick heads. |
Simply not having enough tire pressure in your steers will cause very funny wear, even 95 psi will cause wear.

I had lost the weight on the inside of my front right steer and didn't notice it til I got to looking at it, and I could see a "skip" in the tire. It would shake pretty bad about 70mph on the highway...I first noticed this bobtailing around. I ended up having to replace that front tire shortly after. I say this because it was one of the first things that popped into my mind when I read your post about the shaking..I know they replaced a tire, and I'd assume they balanced it, but if it was real cold when they did it, wheel weights have a tendency to fly off when it's real cold as they don't adhere to the rim as well.

The government wasn't into tranporting items to area 51 in Nevada at the time. :borg:  :borg: :nervous: Ya mean the memorabilia stands are all closed up?? |

Not the weights or the tire pressure. Did it before and these steers are 3 days old and been balanced 3 times already and were perfect.
I will get to the bottom of this for sure and will post the outcome. Doesn't matter anyways, I'll be in New England tomorrow bouncing all over the freaking place so I won't notice!!! |
Forgot to mention this.
I bought some of those cheap azz plastic deer thingies that scare them away. Well, I was going through Arizona yesterday on 70 I think in the daylight and tons of deer on the side of the road. Two trucks in front of me and they didn't move. When I got within 100 feet they bolted like no tomorrow!!!! This happened time and time again. Rabbits headed for the hills and most birds did also except for a certain kind of bird which dived right for my truck then turned away...Curious!! Cows did nothing but eat and crap as usual. |
I have spoke with PETA about your scaring ways. Look behind you. You can run but you can't hide.

Photo of some early research on Steve's deer thingies. This was from the same military group that was training dolphins.... 8)
