Default High Value Freight Brokers?

Hi, all, I'm new to this board, name is Aaron. My cousin has 2 vans, been running 'cross county for about a year now, and he was wondering how to get the really good loads, paying $2.25+ a mile? Can anyone recommend good companies to work with?

I think his first step should be ditching the van.

Really? It's a Class 8, 80,000 lbs., heavy hauler, 53 foot long dry van trailer - what else would you recommend?

$2.25 is not that great in the right lanes.
