Default 53 Van Lease rental Rates

What are you guys paying to lease or rent a 53ft dry van? This would be for someone running their own authority not renting from a carrier they are leased to.

I know a dealer who rents trailers. He rents vans from about $300-650/month, depending on age and whether you want to do a lease purchase.

I talked to Ryder and Penske once and they wouldn't do anything without a credit check, tax returns and 2 years in business. One guy at Ryder told too many trailers never come back. This was 2 years ago. Not sure if it's that way now.

I rent mine for $350 a month with no mileage from a local dealer. I keep the tires and brakes on it.

Friend of mine rents from GE CAPITAL and pays $330 a month and 5 cents a mile.

When I was checking on trailers Jim Hawk Trailers was $350 a month and 4 cents a mile.
