If you have your own truck and trailer, what sign do you have on the trailer?
I'll get some advertising space on the nose cone installed on the rolling tarp system on my stepdeck. I'm thinking of putting my first name - last name on it, with something like "specialized transport service" below. These are vinyl letters that can be easily removed if I decide to sell out. My main goal is to make my truck and trailer recognizable so that shippers knew who to call next time when they talk to my Dispatch (provided they liked my service, trailer and attitude).
Since my name is Russian and is hard to pronounce and remember, I've been also thinking of using just my handle TRACER and truck number on the front of the nose cone. What do you guys think? The truck is yellow, the trailer's frame is red, and the tarping system will be red too
Which is better?
SERGEY DRATCHEV
specialized transport service
or
TRACER

You like my new trailer, Natasha?
It will haul all our bombs and dynamite.
Da Sergey... is good.

I'd go with your fulll name especially if that is going to be your future business name. Besides which it might work as a gimmick. Meaning if a customer phones phones looking for the guy with the funny (jk) name on the trailer. I don't think there is a lot of Sergey Dratchev's at MacKinnon's.

Remember... The K I S S theory--- keep it simple Sergey!
Either use your first name and truck number
SERGEY SPECIALIZED
OR
TRACER 3395
OR how about S.D. SPECIAILIZED
Or TRACER SPECIALIZED ?

I like TRACER 3395. No one can pronounce "Sergey" anyway. Even our Safety guy calls me "Ser-Gye" (rhymes with "bye")
On the other hand there's that "Schwarzenegger phenomenon" - you know the story - when he was just staring his movie career, people told him no one would remember an actor with such a weird name. Arnold said, "On the opposite, such a name will be difficult to forget!"
