No it isn't. You still pay for the fuel. You just get extra revenue to offset the cost.Originally Posted by BanditsCousin
Well, my fsc is 36% right now, so my fuel has been free, or close to.

This is true. I looked at it from linehaul. Since fsc + l/h = revenue, I'd have to assume 30% or less, but that is just a guesstimate. My statements come every 10 days, and I'm home often enough to see 3 or 4 waiting for me, so I'll look into it.

Hoohaa, some of you aren't doing your part to support the oil industry. You need to start buying your fuel at the higher fuel stops to get your percentage up. After all, we don't want the oil industry to have a recession, now do we? :P
Ha! Gman made a funny
It is interesting to see that most of these numbers are fairly close. I kind of expected the independents to have quite a bit lower percentage. These are useful numbers when kicking the pencil around
Thanks to all who have replied thus far

The problem is, the higher the fuel price, the more deadheading I seem to be doing.Originally Posted by GMAN

In 3 years, the percentage of fuel cost/ total revenue, has increased 10% mostly due to the increased deadheading.
In 2005 my first full year with my authority, my deadhead was 16 %
So far this year I'm at 19.7% and counting.

That makes me feel a lot better about my 8% deadhead/OOR average.

Yet your percentage of fuel cost/ total revenue is higher then mine.Originally Posted by Rev.Vassago
