Just hook a generic air pressure gauge to the line running from the ride height control valve to the air bags.
With a legal load on, put the truck on a scale and note the air pressure reading.
In the future, if the gauge reads less than the "benchmark" reading, then you're under legal weight on the drives, and if the gauge reads higher than the benchmark, then you're overweight on the drives.
You can put one on an air ride trailer and use it the same way too.
