Default How Often Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner?

I used the Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner, and boy it works great! My question is how often should I use this? I got the bottles that treat 100 gallons, and put them in this past Friday.

I tried the transmission fluid, but it did not seem to help any, so I tried the Lucas and noticed a great improvement. Thanks for the advice.

That's because transmission fluid is designed for transmissions. It isn't designed to clean injectors. Folks like GMAN state "Well, I've been using it for XX years, and haven't had any problems", but that doesn't mean it works.

I've been living for 31 years, and I haven't had a stroke, and I smoke cigarettes. I suppose smoking cigarettes is what has kept me from having a stroke, then.

I am sorry the transmission fluid didn't do the job for you, Papa Rick. Transmission fluid used to work wonders on my old 238 Detroit. How much did you use? Some people seem to like Lucas. I have talked to some who put lucas in with each fill up. That seems a bit too much for me. It would be really expensive.

i use lucas fuel treatment whenever i change the fuel filter. wich is when
i service the truck. approx 12-14 thou mi's. i fill up fuel filt with it & pour remaining in tanks. you will be better off buying by the gallon. it's cheaper than by the quart. now if my tanks are low on fuel, i'll wait til i fill up before pouring remainder in tanks.
