Well, I see I have access to the website again, although I can't edit or delete anything.

That's why your access to posting was shut off for a day and a half. Because you were mass deleting everything you posted in this thread.

I deleted everything I posted and you restored it. Whereas Steve Booth's privilege to do so was respected, mine was not. As I said, I log 100% accurate, I'm just talking about hypotheticals and people I know of.

But, because they allow a loose cannon like you to remain mod, this is the last thread I'll post to until you're gone. Continue to 'f' up the board Rev. Vaj, I don't care.

Steve Booth's mass deletions were one of the major reasons that editing restrictions were put into place under Twilight Flyer's reign. Better come up with another example.

Mass deletions are the equivalent of thread hijacking.

Well, there was that one thread where we were wiping the board with you for claiming pantyhose are part of your cost per mile. So, what do you do? You delete the thread.

See Rev, I have a good time jawing back and forth with guys, or as the British say, 'taking the piss out of each other.' There's a fun way to do it, and there's a mean-spirited way to do it, too. I don't know about everybody else but I was having fun. The funniest line in this whole thread had to be the response to "Ram it, Cowboy!" But, that breezed past the ruffles on your drawers and now it's buried in message board purgatory.

Further, we all have pseudonyms and that allows us to let if fly, just like every other message board on the planet. It's a violation of trust to use someone's real name when talking about sensitive subjects. You guys, well, read about the Pharisees sometime.

I don't even know what thread you're referring to. "Wiping the board"? Hardly.

I'm having a grand old time right now. Aren't you? It seems to me that you couldn't take the heat, and tried to get out of the kitchen by destroying the thread. When I thwarted your effort to do so, you came back and threw a hissy fit about it.

Just checked - nope - it's still there. Time to get your eyesight checked. The only things that got removed were the personal attacks taking into question other peoples' sexual orientation. That doesn't fly here, and if you can't handle that, then leave now.

I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, but if someone called you by your real name, and you took issue with that, then you should have reported it, or asked the person to edit it out.

lowrange 05-29-2009 06:40 PM

It's about enough, huh?

Why don't you guys start a thread about how good it makes you feel when you cross the border into Illinois and set your cruise controls at 54 mph?

LightsChromeHorsepower 05-29-2009 09:15 PM

Gosh Rev-

Whatever happened to your recent thread vis-a-vis Floored?

Wasn't that whole thread deleted?

And wasn't it deleted after several of us called BS on your whole premise for starting it- that you had no other way to find Teal?

Your hypocrisy and hubris will kill this board yet.

My vote is that you ban yourself.

Lowrange-

Tried to PM my support- no luck, but know it's there.

Those two examples are completely different. The one that this thread is based on is a very simple excersize. It doesn't matter if there's bodies on the road, a stopped vehicle, a moose, or a democrat. If you are travelling too fast and cannot brake in time, it *IS* your fault. That's what the jury determined.

Quote:

So what if the bus driver DID get stopped.....and a truck still hits it head on, and the driver of the bus still dies......(which is probably what would have happened based upon the speed of the out of control truck). Now the bus driver isnt at any fault because he stopped the truck? Or should he have stopped, put up cones, flares and set off fireworks to wake the driver of the truck up before impact??
They did not hit head on. They were travelling the same direction.

Here is the NTSB report:

No. It was deleted at the request of others. Comparing that to me deleting a couple of posts where one poster was calling another poster homosexual (and going into detail about sexual acts) is a huge leap.

LOL. If you say so.

Detail? Please, no detail. The guy told me to "Ram it, Cowboy". That was the beginning. I just told him I wasn't interested in having "****- sex" with him.

How's that for lurid, vivid detail? Oh yeah, there was the mention of a popular movie about cowboys that, well, Rev probably doesn't want me to say. Anyway, let's just say they really like each other. I just mentioned the name of the movie. Again, pretty graphic, huh?

So, let me make sure I understand this..........

You will delete an entire thread at the request of the right person, but someone else is not allowed to delete their posts?

Makes as much sense as half the stuff you do on here.

If you cannot be accurate, and count to 11, 14, 34 and 70, you've got no business behind the wheel.

Didnt you start a thread about how you had 2 log violations in three days because you miscalculated your 10 hour break?

I see you are still here, so much for going to better places. Rev, keep up the good work, you have been here a long time, and as far as I know have been a stand up guy. You have more patience than I would, especially when people get mad say they are leaving & just keep coming back to whine and stir things up. Lowrange, if you say you are leaving, at the very least you could be a man and keep your word.
Some people just don't get even though this is a public forum, they don't have free reign to say anything they please. It is not publically owned and the person who does or their representitives get to determine what is and what is not appropriate content. There are no free speech protections here, but some seem to think that is the case, as far as this threa goes, the moderators could have shut it down as soon as it got off topic, but they showed constraint and gave a lot of latitude to the posters. Although the original topic has not been mentioned for some time, it is still open and that shows the moderators have been pretty liberal (not meant as an insult), in allowing posters to have their say.

Actually I had two violations on one log. They nailed me for not taking my full '10' and then nailed me for working over my '14' and all because of an error marking my logbook, not because i couldnt add.

there is a difference. I know when i show line 1 or 2 to start my 10 at say..10p....i know i cannot show my pretrip on line 4 till 8a....and roll no earlier than 815a. I also know that when i start my 11 hr drive clock at 815a, i cannot drive past 715p.....that is if i drove a straight 11 hrs. My problem was i had one time in my head, and thats the one i based the start of the day off. i can count to 11 no problem ;-)

High handed control and cliches do get my blood pressure up but i still enjoy it. Doesn't mean i will spend money for it though.

Thank God this is just a forum on the internet, if it was real life a full fledged riot would have broken out by now !!

You guys don't know how good you have it here, there are few forums with moderators as tolerant as these guys.

Sportster65, look over here, Fredog is the one you want to talk to. I can only count to 4.

Careful though, you don't want that cowboy to puncture your lungs, or anything.

sportster65 05-31-2009 07:11 AM

Lowrange, you seem to be hung up on male body parts, YOU are the one who keeps bringing that up, so to speak. Buy hey each to his own, if the male anatomy is so exiting to you fine, but quit incinuating that may be my preference, you will be dissapointed to know I don't now or ever have gone that way. But if fantasizing about me is your thing, OK, I guess it is flattering, to know that my appeal is so strong that it transends the to those of your orientation. Maybe you can go over to one of your affore mentioned "other" forums where that kind of thing is the norm. But please quit drooling over our posts, you really seem to gravitate to a post where the male anatomy is mentioned, may be for your sake we should not use those kinds of terms any more, it seems to be too much for you. Just know that your secret is safe with us, for the time being you can stay in the closet, but if you keep on like you are, words gonna get out, and "driving" will have a whole other meaning for you. So stay safe and "drive" carefully.

Driver criminally convicted after doing a good job

Regardless of the logging, issue how is flipping your truck over considered "doing a good job"? 5 people died. He should go to jail.

Lowrange all you seem to care about is that fudging logs is OK and people should just look the other way on this.

For whatever reason he lost control of his rig. Most companies wont even hire him for the rollover, let alone that in this case people died.

On top of that it was discovered he also fudges logs.

You have a very low standard of "doing a good job".

I started the thread based on erroneous reporting (the article in the OP). I was also using irony to make a point that few evidently picked up. Either way, I'm done with all that. Someone used my first name in this thread, and when I said something to him about it, his reply was, 'I have nothing to hide.' I'm just finishing up the pissing match, I started a thread on Theologyonline last night.

Ok, you wanted the "Cowboy" to ram exactly what exactly where? That movie I mentioned in the post Rev. deleted, you know, cowboys...ramming...well, maybe they don't ram it, maybe that's more of a cliche. Anyway, that's what came to mind. What were you talking about, particularly since you've now come up with a meaning for "driving" I've never thought of... Sporto, is there something you'd like to us? Do you have a "soft tail?" :o

Hooooooahhhhhh!!!!!

Lest this be a lesson to you Channel 19 Cowboys/girls that enjoy impressing one another with your pro-American, Red-White-Blue bull**** rhetoric...........

Blah blah blah about drug dealers, illegal immigrants, President Obama, blah blah blah blah.........................

As you commit your daily felony????? Yuppers........As you falsify that logbook once again. Remember.........falsifying that log book is no different than robbing a bank. The bank robber claims that he was just "doing it to feed the family." Heh heh. Didn't see that one coming did you BBR?

Hypocrites

Look, dude, get over your self. No one gives a squirt of piss about you or your obession with cowboys. You need to deal with whatever problem it is that you have with sexual preference, and quit worrying about mine. OK you liked the cowboy movie, we get that, you don't have to keep bringing it up over and over. Find a hobby, a girlfriend or boyfriend, or whatever, but quit being concerned with my preferences. It's a little creepy to have another man so concerned with my sexuality. Taking a saying and equating to a sexual nature is up to you, if that what gets you going, fine. But you can't seem to get over something said days ago, let it go, it is over, it is very strange behavior, and very unbecoming. You are lucky you have this board to hide behind, and be the anonymous clown you are. Do everyone a favor and just go away, you have nothing substantial or even intellegent to articulate here, your non-sense is childish and lame. You sound like you just graduated from the 10th grade and need to hang with the other pimply faced kids. We can end this now or you can continue with your sophmoric BS, either way you lose. Grow up and become a man, for Christ Sake.

**And yes I did own an 87 Heritage Softail for 8 years.**
