miles
You have some nerve calling me a lier, an outlaw and reckless. I don't care who the hell you think you are....but punk sissy's like you do not belong on the road or on this message board...if that is how you wish to treat someone. Take your crankyazz and leave or be a man and apologise, and watch who you are calling names. |
4500 / 7 = 642.86 miles a day
642.86 / 10= 64.28 mph 642.86 / 11= 58.44 mph Doable if you run hard, and your rig keeps this constant speed. |
ok
ok I see how you got that... wish my rig would drive anywhere near a decent speed. I guess Freight would have to be in excess for my company as well..... sorry dude again :)

I guess they don't pass out calculators in trucking school 101!!!! :) :)

Its
very very very hard to believe those numbers..
First I assume we're talking logged miles not paid miles. Next you have to add in at least 15 a day for pti, 15 for fuel every day or two so that cuts into your 70 more than you'd think. Next you have to only run in 65mph and above states or make it up. If your running the southwest 7 days a week that -might- be doable. Run the east coast and its a whole new ball game. The whole post sounds like bs to me unless you're running hard in the high mph states with a few long long runs and a fantastic truck. Never run donner pass but I assume you've been running light. Arent a whole lot of trucks out there that can haul 45k up a 7% grade and not have you dropping gears so fast your right hand is blurring. And downhill pretty much depends on your jake |
4,500 miles is legally doable if you run hard and smart, but it's not legally doable on a weekly basis. I've had Heartland drivers pop the 4K barrier at times and that's in a 65 mph truck. But again, it's not something that you can do legally on a consistant basis. If you're popping mid 4K plus every single week, you're probably using more than one coloring book. :) Either that, or you've got an ungoverned monster and get to run a lot of 80 mph long stretches.

Somehow, cowhaulers can run about 6,000 miles a week. They run loose leaf logs, too. :P :P
